Disaster Action Team Updates:
The next DAT meeting will be at the Beverly office on Monday, February 6, 2012. In March 2012, our office will be moving to the Red Cross building located at 85 Lowell Street in Peabody. Due to the move, we probably will not meet in March. Updates will be posted here and emailed to DAT members.
Whenever possible, please e-mail or call to let us know if you are able to attend the meeting as this will help us plan for copies of materials and snacks (!). However, you are always welcome whether or not you have responded to the meeting e-mail. If you have ideas for agenda items or questions that you would like to be addressed at an upcoming meeting please e-mail June Beckley at jbeckley@northeastmassredcross.org.

Reminder: Those of you thinking about/planning for regional or national deployment should check the DSHR page for the latest information on deploying. IMPORTANT: Health Status Records must be current in order to be deployed to a DR whether local, regional, or national. Now, while things are hopefully quiet, is the time to update and/or expand your training. Check the training page and watch your e-mail for upcoming training classes.
Our Chapter Emergency Response Vehicle is busy responding to emergency scenes as well as appearing at community events throughout our Chapter area. See a photograph! For those interested in becoming certified to drive/operate this vehicle(see requirements on training page), contact Charlie Vose at cvose@northeastmassredcross.org .
February Meeting: The DAT meeting will be Monday, 2/6/2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, in our Beverly office located at 100 Cummings Center, Beverly, Room 210 E. Snacks and discussion at 6:30...The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. This will be an opportunity to meet our interim Emergency Services Director, Mike McCaffrey. There will also be an opportunity before the meeting to get items for your existing jump kit or put together an initial jump kit. Email jbeckley@northeastmassredcross.org if you can attend.
